Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio is a model born on April 11,1981 in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. At just 8 years old she already knew she wanted to be a model. She enrolled in modeling class by the age of 12 and by the age of 14 was already one of the finalists in an Elite Model competition in Brazil. Winning Brazil’s Elite Model Look contest jump started her modeling career.

After her first notable job of appearing on the cover of the Brazilian Elle magazine, she has been the face of many brands such as GUESS?, Revlon, Christian Dior, Gucci, Escada, Ralph Lauren and others. She has also walked the runway for some big names in fashion like Oscar de la Renta, Giorgio Armani, Vivienne Westwood, Issey Miyake to name a few. She was photographed for the Pirelli Calendar as well as over 50 magazine covers internationally ( Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ...).

Ambrosio has her own line of swim wear called Alessandra Ambrosio by Sais, but she is best known probably for her collaboration with Victoria’s Secret. She has been one of their regular models since 2000, and in 2004 became one of their official "Angels" and was selected to be the spokesperson for their "PINK" line. She has been voted as one of the worlds sexiest and most beautiful people numerous times by magazines such as People.

She has appeared in a number of TV shows like Entourageand "How I Met Your Mother" she played herself, and others such as The Tyra Banks Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and others where she appeared a guest. Very conscious of her figure, she works out regularly by doing the Brazilian Butt Lift. She is married to an American businessman Jamie Mazur, with whom she has a daughter named Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur, who was born on August 24, 2008.
